Dulcie has painted Karlyapilyirra a site close to Pipaar, south of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert.
Central to the artwork is the necessity of life in the desert - the waterhole.
The white swirls indicate the saltpans and the light brown swirls are the clay pans, surrounded by sandhills (red and yellow radiating lines) that shift with the seasons. The dotting indicated the abundances of mangarri (bush tucker) found in the area.
Here, Dulcie tells of her country, its heritage and its life giving gifts.
